On-device by default

Speech recognition and translation run on your Mac. Nothing is uploaded unless you explicitly pick a cloud API translation engine (Claude, OpenAI, or Gemini) or the cloud transcription model.

No accounts, no tracking, no telemetry.

History

Every transcript and translation is stored locally on your Mac. Search, copy, or delete entries anytime from Settings → History — they never leave your device.

API keys

If you bring your own API key, it's stored in the macOS Keychain, never in plain settings.
