Hold Fn to talk

Hold the Fn key, speak, and release. Detexts transcribes locally and pastes the text right at your cursor — in any text field, in any app.

Hands-free mode

Prefer not to hold the key? Hold past the threshold to lock recording, then release your finger and keep talking. Press your recording key again to stop.

You can tune the hold-to-hands-free timing in Settings → Shortcuts.
