Translate the clipboard

Copy any text, then hold ⌘ and double-tap C. A popup shows the translation in your target language.

Translate on-screen text

Press ⌘⇧2, drag to select a region of your screen, and Detexts reads the text in the image (OCR) and translates it instantly — great for images, PDFs, or apps you can't select text in.

Engines

Choose your translation engine in Settings → Translation:

• Apple on-device Translation (offline).
• Qwen local model (offline).
• Your own API key — Claude, OpenAI, or Gemini (online, optional).
